The hearing will examine the use of control and restraint in mental health and disability care. It will also examine the adequacy and availability of complaints procedures and the impacts of long-term institutionalization on survivors and their whānau.

The hearing is held at Tii Tu Tahi, Level 2, 414 Khyber Pass Road, Tāmaki-Makaura. It is open to the public and will be broadcast live with New Zealand Sign Language interpreters.
