Global Privacy Program Manager (Customer Care & Services), Dell Technologies, 100% remote

As Global Privacy Program Manager, you will act as a strategic partner for Dell’s Customer Service and Technical Services teams. Reporting to Dell’s Global Privacy Program Manager, you will implement strategic privacy compliance program priorities, ensure Dell is compliant with the law and provide guidance on privacy matters. This will include ensuring that all business processes, projects, applications, systems, processes and data exchanges comply with Dell’s Code of Conduct, Privacy Policy, Procedures and Standards.

What you will get:

As Global Privacy Program Manager, you will act as a strategic partner for Dell’s Customer Service and Technical Services teams. Reporting to Dell’s Global Privacy Program Manager, you will implement strategic privacy compliance program priorities, ensure Dell is compliant with the law and provide guidance on privacy matters. This will include ensuring that all business processes, projects, applications, systems, processes and data exchanges comply with Dell’s Code of Conduct, Privacy Policy, Procedures and Standards.

You will be:

  • Proactively develop privacy solutions that will mature the privacy capability of your functions (clients).
  • Develop and build consensus around creative solutions to privacy-by-design/privacy-by-default requirements, including conducting privacy impact assessments on internal tools, processes, products, solutions and services.
  • Manage privacy complaints and remediation efforts, as well as data subject rights requests, coordinating with legal and business partners as necessary.
  • Host cross-functional privacy governance meetings with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure an up-to-date inventory of personal information assets along with associated data flow mappings; document and maintain data processing activities.
  • Create and deliver targeted privacy training and additional privacy awareness across the enterprise.

The necessary required

  • 12+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • General knowledge of fundamental requirements of privacy legislation (such as CCPA and GDPR) and industry best practices.
  • Strong technical expertise on holistic privacy risk management with the ability to apply smart risk and anticipate privacy compliance issues/risks.
  • Experience managing a global privacy compliance program for a business unit/functional department.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills: ability to write technical reports/policies/procedures as well as the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, influence stakeholders and drive results to achieve results win/win.

Desired requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience managing privacy compliance programs globally is preferred.
  • Experience resolving privacy issues with a call center customer support team is desired.
  • Legal qualification and/or IAPP/CIPP/CIPM privacy certifications are a plus.
  • Experience working with customer service and privacy issues related to sales operations is a plus.
  • Incident/violation experience is a plus.
